This is an announcement regarding Educational Electronic Health Record: Medi-EYE.

The majority of our customers will not need to take any action and can continue to use Medi-EYE as usual at no additional charge. For more information, please read the following

Medi-EYE is designed for universities and colleges, there is no need in principle to worry about data usage capacity (storage) as the number of faculty, students, and other users increases.

However, we have confirmed that over time, the dramatic increase in simulated patient data generated through "simulated patient copy" operations in each facility account has consumed several to dozens of times more storage space than normally expected for some customers.
If this situation continues, there is a risk of unexpected server outages and difficulty in continuing service under the current fee structure, causing inconvenience to all customers.

Therefore, we regret to inform you that effective Monday, February 19, 2024, we will begin limiting data usage to a maximum of 7GB per account*.
The 7GB limit is sufficient storage capacity for normal use without exceeding the limit.

We are well aware that the policy change to "start limiting capacity" will be disappointing to some of our customers. For this reason, we will be offering upgraded licenses that can be used without capacity limits, and we kindly ask you to contact us for more information if necessary.

The transition to the new storage policy will take effect on Monday, February 19, 2024. There are no items that we require our customers to address at this time.
We will notify all customers who have registered for all administrator and faculty IDs two weeks prior to the date of transition to the new storage policy.

*Even if the maximum storage limit (7GB) is reached, all functions can be used without restrictions except for the "simulated patient copy" restriction.Even if the "Copy Simulated Patients" restriction is applied, you can use the "Copy Simulated Patients" function again by deleting unnecessary simulated patient data.
